Ukraine

A former republic, Ukraine was invaded by the Russian Imperium in 1922, its senior ministers executed, its parliament dissolved, its language and culture outlawed, and its people brutally subjugated by agents of the Russian Imperium’s feared темнота (Temnota).

Beginning in 1987, a new group formed to rekindle the independent spirit of the Ukrainian people, “Борці за свободу”, literally translated as “The Freedom Fighters”. Since 1987, the group has been waging a guerrilla war against the Russian Imperium.

In 2022, in response to comments from Russian First Consul Vladimir Putin about Portugal rising up to claim its independence, Eleanor the Thirty-Third commented to the press that she would be willing to support the independence of Ukraine.
