Underground Worship

The Underground Worship movement was a movement in Cascadia during the religious persecutions of Empress Eleanor the Seventeenth to hide religious worship by literally moving it underground. The most prominent example of this movement is the Cathedral of Saint Matthew in Pørtland—a large church created by the Disciples of Jesus that is one-part homage to the Gospel of Saint Matthew and one-part gathering place for peoples of any faith to come and worship the God or Gods they revere. The location of the Cathedral was a secret kept from the Inquisitors of Dogma for Cascadia despite their decade-long efforts to uncover the location.
