The Conquest of Portugal took place on September 21st, 1545 and was a military operation conducted by Eleanor XV (The Red Lion). It was an epic military campaign that is considered one of the most effective in history. Over the course of twenty-two days, the country was occupied, the military subdued, and the royal family of Portugal executed.
