Nikola Tesla was an ethnic Serbian born into what is now the Confederated States of Macedonia, but what was then part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. A celebrated inventor and polymath, Tesla founded The Tesla Company in 1880 in New Bordeaux in the Empire of Australia. However, he later moved the company to the Independent Sovereignty of Cascadia.
