New Calais is the capital of the Madagascar Domain of the Empire of Australia and its most populous city. The city was named by Eleanor the Fifteenth who chose the name as a rebuke to the Norman kings of Britain, who held the city in France at the time. She is also said to have simply liked the way the name rolled off the tongue.
