Hobson’s Disease

An extremely rare genetic disorder that causes a wasting syndrome in which the body’s cells fail to provide themselves with nutrients.

Only five confirmed cases have ever been identified by science. In four of the five cases, the disease proved fatal. In the fifth, that of Sarah Taylor, the disease was cured. The cause of the remission of the disease is unknown.
