Equalisation Theory is a theory that is common in the study of the Empire of Australia which posits that the Empire of Australia will last forever because it is the first truly adaptive empire in the history of the world. This adaptation takes the form of the Australian Empire seeking “equalization” in the world as new powers rise and fall around the world, serving as a kind of power-broker to the secondary and tertiary powers of the world while always maintaining an edge for itself.
The theory hinges on the assumption that in the past that rather then dominating completely the Empire has left “pockets of lesser rivals that drive each other to continually improve over one another in order to seek out and achieve ‘second world’ status as the chief opposition to the Empire of Australia.”
