The Lessa Light is a low-energy, high-brightness electrical light developed for use at sea by Alessa d’Poitiers to replace dangerous oil lamps and high-energy electrical lamps that would often cause destructive fires on ships at sea.
Although initially developed for use at sea, the Lessa Light came to be used across the Waka-Krangere of Australia as it was more efficient than existing land-based lamps.
