The Farnsworth is a mass telecommunication medium for transmitting moving images and sound. It was created and popularized by Cascadian inventor Philo Farnsworth in 1926. Sometimes referred to simply as the “Farn” or “Farny”, it become the dominant mass-media device in the world in the 1940s and 1950s.
